Annual Conference Travel Grant

2026 Domestic Travel Grant

This travel grant program was created in partnership with Clorox Healthcare, an APIC Strategic Partner since 2009, to provide access to five (5) IPs in underserved communities within the U.S. and regions hit by natural disasters to attend the APIC Annual Conference for the first time. Recipients will gain valuable knowledge in infection prevention and control, learn from leaders in the field, and gain exposure to the latest IPC products and services. IPs from all care settings including, but not limited to, acute care, ambulatory care, long-term care, and ASC facilities, are eligible to apply. 

Applicants must be: (a) Working in the U.S.; (b) Working in an underserved area/population as designated by Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) as having too few primary care providers, high infant mortality, high poverty or a high elderly population; (c) APIC Member; (d) First-time in-person APIC Annual Conference attendee; and (e) Agree to APIC’s COVID safety protocols and requirements for the in-person conference. 

Recipients will receive: (a) Round-trip (coach) travel to APIC26, (b) Hotel accommodation for three (3) nights (room & tax), (c) Conference registration, and (d) Special ribbon designating them as an award recipient. 

Grant recipients are not eligible to earn nursing contact hours for APIC26.. Recipients are eligible to collect infection prevention units (IPUs) at the APIC Annual Conference.
