CIC® Power Prep Course
Session Description: This interactive course will teach the fundamental concepts of IPC practice and provide test preparation tips, strategies, and practice questions. Access guidance for developing a personal study plan and identifying test-taking strategies. Attendance is required to earn all available CE credits. Please note: This class will not teach IPC basics. It will help attendees become familiar with the CIC® exam content and structure and build confidence in taking the exam.
Linda Greene
Infection Preventionist, Consultant for Long Term and Acute Care and Acute Care, UR Highland Hospital and Acute Care
Linda R. Greene RN, MPS, CIC, FAPIC, has more tham 30 years’ experience in infection prevention..She was most recently the Director of the Infection Prevention at University of Rochester, Highland Hospital in Rochester, New York. In May of 2022,Linda retired from her full time position to consult in infection prevention including acute, long term care and and ambulatory settings. She also continues to work as an infection preventionist perdirm at Highland Hospital. Linda has served as national faculty for several HAI projects.She was the 2017 APIC president and has served on the APIC Board of Directors as Secretary as well as several APIC committees.Linda was the APIC Representative to the 2014 and 2022 SHEA Compendium on VAE and the 2014 Compendium on SSIs. She has authored or co-authored several textbook chapters and articles for peer-review journals including nursing journals and has lectured extensively at the state, national and international level.
Lynn Fine
Infection preventionist, University of Rochester Medical Center
Lynn Fine has over 20 years of Infection Prevention experience. She holds a BA in Biology, a Masters of Public Health, and a PhD in Immunology. She is board certified in Infection Control and was made a Fellow of APIC in 2016. Lynn is an active APIC member and has served on APIC’s Education and Professional Development Committee, and the Practice Resource Education Panel. Lynn was a section editor for the APIC Text and authored a chapter in APIC’s “The Infection Preventionist’s Guide to the Laboratory.” She is currently a faculty member for APIC’s Epi 101 and CIC Preparation Courses. She particularly enjoys mentoring those new to the Infection Prevention field.
